The Fruit Shop Ceramics by Hsian Jung

This caught my eye and I just had to share it with you for the artistic sense today and perhaps for you to bookmark as an online shop is coming soon.

The fruit shop is a series of ceramics by Hsian Jung, a Taiwanese artist based in London. His work is inspired by; you guessed it, a fruit shop. The cantaloupe is the fruit in season for this body of work and in production or should I say, growing right now are onions and pumpkin. The colour combinations are gorgeous and the form super cute don’t you think?

What impressed me the most is the concept of inspiration and how it is presented here in these images, is just brilliant, there’s so much play and a real point of difference.

Enjoy!

I love ceramics and one day I would like to start a sincere collection from all over the world. I took a class when I was 7 years old on pottery and learned how to use a wheel but I never kept it up. Hsian Jung is simply a genius! I love this and thank you for sharing it with us all….I can start a virtual collection now! Big hugs, Jocelyn x

Glad you love them as much as me Jocelyn. You should take it up again sometime… I would love to be able to do something so creative with my hands. Big hugs to you and I’ll be visiting very soon, I miss TII – been flat out since my return, crazy how a week away can do that. xx
