100% Linen sheets. Have you tried them? If you do, I promise you won’t go back! I was introduced to them about seven years ago by my mother in-law and now thanks to her, I own quite a collection. They feel so luxurious on the skin whatever the season, but especially on hot summer nights.
On one of my husband’s recent trips to France, he came across these stunning hand dyed vintage linen sheets at a Brocante in Toulouse. What a fantastic idea to modernise them! The colours are so vibrant, which actually compliments the original monograms beautifully. I’m seriously in love. Even though I’m lacking in room to store them, I kind of wish that he had purchased one for my collection.
These sheets would work in almost any bedroom, be it modern or classical. Folded over a simple duvet or cotton blanket with plumped up pillows and you’ve got yourself a bed worthy of any five star boutique hotel.
If I had that shop I’ve been dreaming of, vintage linen sheets is something I would most certainly stock up on so that my customers too, could experience…

Wow, you pictures really capture the beauty of the fabric. There is something special about linen, isn’t there? I imagine cotton sheets in colours like this could look gaudy but these are just beautiful. I’m normally an all white bed girl, but hese have me thinking asome bright cushions could be a fun new look!

I have one single set of sand and off-white linen sheets. I “wear” them, wash them, put them on again, wash them…it´s just no way to use my other sheets (almost) anymore. I love the colors of your pics, I guess it´s just time a buy a new set… may be in your new shop??

Mel, they do look gorgeous – those colours! I haven’t tried linen sheets, I’m imagining a lot of ironing….??
It depends… If you line dry them in a good position, they have a lived in look which I actually like (I also avoid ironing at all costs). They also hold the beautiful line dried smell for some reason so ironing would be a shame. My mother in-law does iron hers though. So I would say depends on how perfect you would like them to look:)
