Hello everyone! I hope you’re all set for a great weekend. While today is really overcast here, it looks like we’re in for some beautiful Autumn weather over the next couple of days. One thing about living in Sweden is that you get to experience all of the seasons and each of them has something special to offer and to look forward to. Thinking about our lovely walks in the crisp air when we first arrived here, I realised that we landed in Stockholm a year ago yesterday. Can you believe it? Time has flown by so quickly. We actually flew out to Cyprus the very next day, so officially we’ve been living here a year next Thursday. I also realised the other day that I haven’t shown you much of our Stockholm apartment, so I thought today I’ll share some photos of my little workspace with you. Fancy a peek?

By now I think that you’d be well aware of IKEA’S collaboration with HAY entitled, YPPERLIG. It will hit the stores in three weeks and I have to say that I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much excitement around about a product launch before. Have you? Each time I, or others have put something on social media about it, people comment that they are desperately waiting for it to arrive. There’s this sense of fear that they are going to miss out; that they are going to arrive in store only to find that what’s on their list, is already sold out. Some are even suggesting that they will camp out the night before! What? Well, it certainly is an exciting partnership of creative forces.

Drive through the countryside of Charente, France and you might just stumble upon this quaint little village surrounded by vineyards and fields of sunflowers. Beside the old church is a beautiful country home dating back to the 12th century. It looks like something out the set of a movie, but it’s actually the home of Guillaume’s mother. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you may recall “Mamie Annie” when she came to visit us in New Zealand.

Oh Berlin! I had no idea how fabulous that city is. I mean, I had inklings and Guillaume always told me how cool it was but… when you arrive, you get it. Berlin is a city bursting in artistic expression, design, good food, lovely people and a place to simply enjoy life. We had four days there and here I’ll share with you some of our accommodation, food and bar highlights with a few random photos thrown in.
