How was your weekend everyone? We were house bound most of it as we experienced the tail end of Cyclone Lasi here in New Zealand so we put ourselves to good use and painted the small room ready for our eldest son to move into. I’ll certainly share the end result with you in the coming weeks once we’ve finished setting it up.

You may have seen on the social network channels last week that I was a guest over at Colour Living ? Tina has a regular challenge called  “Vive la Difference” where a new guest each month gets to choose a theme from a list along with up to three objects. Then we can bake, draw, paint, craft or style our choice. If you haven’t already, pop over and see what I chose and both my and Tina’s interpretations. I just love Tina’s story and it’s made me think about the people in my life over the years that have had a profound effect on me. Anyway, it was so much fun to take part and I have to say that I was amazed at the response.

Thanks Tina, once again for having me.

Mel xx

Ohh sounds so dramatic with the Cyclone – but sounds like you’ve been creative meanwhile, looking forward to see the result. Wauw sounds exciting with you and Tina’s challenge, can’t wait to see more. Have a wonderful week! Best Mette

The joys of living on this side of the world – you get snow storms, we get Cyclones! Ha, all good though. You should do the challenge Mette and somehow incorporate a DIY, you’d do a fabulous job. M xx

Gosh, hope you guys were ok and that Cyclone Lasi didn’t create too much havoc..

Great use of your time and your son will be chuffed! Yes, please show us the results!

I’m always so glad to hear that people have enjoyed their VLD journey. It was fantastic having you over and thank you for sharing your fabulous story and vignette with us. x
