I didn’t even have an Instagram account and I was well aware of Stephanie Somebody (aka Stamatis). This Melbourne designer and stylist has been named in this month’s Real Living Magazine as one of the design forces of today and is somewhat an Instagram sensation with over 126K followers!  All of her images have a common thread, a continuous story of beauty through the eyes of Stephanie and if you haven’t yet experienced it; I promise, like me, you’ll be hooked. I adore her very distinct styling that can be seen in the likes of Est Magazine; it’s raw and textured yet very authentic and almost always drawing on some form of nature. Today I’m thrilled to have Stephanie here to answer my 5 Decorating Questions.

Over to you Stephanie…

How would you best describe your style?

Industrial with a connection to nature.

What would be the most interesting decorative piece that you own?

My Kim Baise Homes Mobile from LA. The cutest little hand painted tee-pee, igloo, hut, caravan made from twigs and paper mâché.

A house or apartment?

Rooftop apartment with a garden! Best of both worlds!

Do you have anything for the home on your wish list right now?

So many things! Number one would have to be a piece of Dane Lovett artwork.

Good decoration…

… is a natural expression, not a forced one.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful images and words with us today Stephanie!

Readers it’s without saying that Stephanie Somebody knows a thing or two about Instagram and branding. Lucky for us she shares her knowledge in a workshop, Instagram Debunked at The School. The next one, much to my delight will be held in Auckland this November!

If you haven’t done so already, you can follow Stephanie on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter.

Ha, of course I know her – being one of her many instagram followers… beautiful styling and images. I wish I could take one of her classes. Meanwhile I’ll just stare at her photos and try to learn from them.
