Gorman Collaboration with Ellie Malin

I did a little clothes shopping at Gorman yesterday and spotted a very cool collaboration that the fashion label has done with Melbourne print media artist, Ellie Malin.

You’re probably wondering why I’m writing about fashion right? No, I’m not stepping into another domain here on the blog, Gorman has actually included some homewares in this collaboration. The range consists of a pack of three tea towels, a cushion and an adorable quilt. While the tea towels would look great in the kitchen they needn’t be destined for a life of drying the dishes, can’t you just imagine them in some simple frames on the wall?

What I’ve really got my eye on is the limited edition handmade quilt due out in May. Ellie has included the various prints used in the entire  ellie malin + gorman collaboration to put this together. I’d love to get this for my daughter’s room, or as a throw for cooler nights although I think I better get in quick as they’re taking pre-orders now for May.

It will be interesting to see if Lisa Gorman continues into the homewares theme. I’m a huge fan of her fun clothes, so bringing more of that into our everyday lives would be a welcome addition.

See you Wednesday everyone!

Oh, I hope so – bring it on!! I love Lisa Goman. So talented and such a classy lady and I’m also a massive fan of Ellie Malin’s work so this is a match made in heaven! Great tip framing the tea towels x

There is such a fine border now between the different disciplines that writing about fashion on your blog could still be very inspiring. Let’s file it under “textiles” :-)
Now seriously, those tea towels are gorgeous. I’d love this pattern for a huge scarf!

@Gudy – Yes one day when I’ve got time to write every day or hire, I think I might include a fashion element… M x
@Catherine – Great idea about the cushions. Love Gorman and really hopes she expands the homewares! M x

Hi Mel, isn’t Gorman amazing. My daughters are big fans. These homewares are gorgeous, love the colours & patterns. The quilt would look great in your daughters room. The tea towels would look wonderful in frames or you could make cushions from them. I’d love them either way in my home!
