Copper & Brass Trend

I’m falling for the copper and brass trend. What about you? I have to say that I was a little hesitant at first but it was the stunning Mr Cooper pendants from Australian design company Coco Flip, that caught my attention a couple of months ago. I immediately pinned it. I love the styling for this photo too, don’t you?

Here are two other simply gorgeous copper and brass designs that I’m admiring these days:

The Hex bowls and champagne bucket from the Eclectic Range by Tom Dixon are stunning. True to their name, they are hand formed with a hammered hexagonal finish and I think way too beautiful to put anything in.

I also love the Wood Table Light by Frederik Mattson for Zero, a very simple yet effective design.

I have a feeling this trend will be here to stay for some time. Like most trends, try to keep in minimal, with one or two key pieces in the home.

I’m heading off for a couple of weeks to Sydney alone (gulp) with my three children this weekend. I’ve got some posts up my sleeve so will still be here, but forgive me if I miss a post once or twice! Also when I can offload the children, I’ll hunt down a great store or two to report on when I return. Enjoy your weekend everyone and see you Monday!

    Hi Mel,
Staying in touch from BYW2…..Popped in to see what you have been up to since class.
I am so glad to see your post about copper things back in the kitchen again. I really do like the look. Remember the copper jello molds everyone used to decorate their kitchen walls with back in the 70s? or was that just a fad in the USA?
I really enjoy reading your blog :) and enjoy your holiday in Sydney!
